An LMS has many ways to encourage engagement, test and evaluate students.

Assignments can be submitted via upload, text, videos and audio.
Quizzes can be created for assessment purposes and automatically marked if they are multiple choice questions.

Content can be made engaging using H5P tools built into Moodle.
